James is a freelance lighting designer based in New York City.
He received his self-motivated education at Pace University where he will finish
his undergraduate degree in the fullness of time. James is currently the
Resident Lighting Designer for the Looking Glass Theatre where some recent credits
include Melancholia and Dis-ease, The Snow Queen, Ark,
and Winter and Spring Director’s Forum 2004. Other recent credits
include: Bizarre Science Fantasy (the Brick Theatre),
The Fall Collection (LaTea, CSV), Lulu: a musical (Lucille
Lortel-NYCFringe/Belt Theatre-NYMF), The Hell Festival (The Brick
Theater). Some recent regional credits include A Christmas Carol
and Cocktails with Coward (both for Northern Stage, White River Junction,
VT). Selected collegiate credits include Camino Real, Kiss of the
Spiderwoman, Our Town (Schimmel Center-Pace U.). James is
thrilled to be surrounded by such a talented and dedicated group of artists.
